Collierville Restaurants, Caterers, Bars and Coffee Shops Get Creative to Feed the Community
With almost everyone practicing various forms of social distancing, local eateries are feeling the shock. Many local restaurants are struggling, and some are having to lay-off employees. As a collective community, we can help by continuing to patronize our local restaurants and caterers through creative means such as “non-contact ordering and pick up.” Many Collierville food service establishments are implementing creative ways for customers to get good food while minimizing personal contact. “This is having an unprecedented effect on all food service businesses, said Trey Jordan, Owner of Pimentos. “Unfortunately we’ve had to cut staff, but we’re staying open, and pushing people to our drive-thru window.”
Customers seeking good food may not want to dine in, but Collierville’s restaurants are adjusting and being innovative. Many restaurants have drive-thru capabilities, and most are offering online/call-in ordering with curbside pick up. No matter the means, the goal is to provide service and make the customer feel comfortable in terms of personal contact.
