Nominee Narratives: Health Care Provider of the Year

Presented by Simmons Banks and the Collierville Chamber of Commerce, the annual Excellence in Business Awards serves as an opportunity to recognize those that set a standard for excellence in their respected category and strive for innovation in local business.

First Choice Care, Dr. Joan Allmon, and Campbell Clinic are regionally recognized for their research initiatives and patient care. They are this year’s Health Care Provider of the Year nominees at our Excellence in Business Awards.

First Choice Care

First Choice Care is direct in their message. Their mission is “To provide the community with a quality healthcare option that focuses on customer convenience and satisfaction while maintaining public and institutional trust by embracing the highest standards of integrity and accountability.” In other words, First Choice is there when you need them with high-quality care.

Dr. Joan Allmon

Dr.Joan Allmon, has been practicing medicine in the Memphis area since 2002 and in Collierville since 2009. She has been a member of Consolidated Medical Practices of Memphis, a successful multi-specialty group, for the past two years.

She attributes the success of Allmon Internal Medicine to the great teamwork of her staff and accessibility to evidence-based medicine for all of her patients. It’s a formula that allowed for a 150% growth since 2019.

A native Memphian with a medical degree from the University of Tennessee, Allmon provides primary care to adult patients from 18 to 100 and also offers a focus on women’s health care. She is Board Certified in Internal Medicine.

Dr. Allmon is a multi-year recipient of Memphis Magazine, Memphis Top Doctors Award and has been awarded Best Doctor in Collierville by the Collierville Independent.
