NOMINEE NARRATIVES 2023: Spirit of Collierville

The Spirit of Collierville Nominees all embody a deep sense of community involvement. A-Team Roofing, Christian Brothers Automotive- Collierville, Patriot Bank, and Staks Kitchen- Collierville all understand the importance of giving back.

A-Team Roofing

When it comes to community involvement, Kyle and Liz Grasso of A-Team Roofing could teach seminars. They approach such commitment to others with modesty, but in their six years as A-Team Roofing, they have found time and resources to impact countless areas of Collierville. The list is long, from their support of education through PTA organizations, booster clubs, robotics teams, to a host of other community agencies. Areas that are close to their hearts find them supporting Friends of Collierville Animal Services, Shelby Literacy, and Page Robbins Adult Day Center. From Rotary to Leadership Collierville, you’ll find A-Team’s name attached. Kyle Grasso knows that an investment in his community will come back in rewards, but there’s more than a bottom line to A-Team’s involvement. Simply put, A-Team Roofing cares about Collierville.

Christian Brothers Automotive- Collierville

When Jimmy Turner led his team at Christian Brothers Auto, it was never just about car service. It was about meeting and helping people. Putting people ahead of business was Jimmy Turner’s passion and a reflection of his spiritual faith. Whether looking out for those most needy through their National Service Days, originally designed to give free oil changes to single mothers and other community member in need, has grown to a company-wide service event. It fit perfectly on Turner’s path of service. And Turner’s passion for his community has extended beyond his tenure at Christian Brothers Automotive. Turner has served as Past President of Collierville Rotary, as well as Board Chairman of the Collierville Chamber of Commerce.
