Addition of Dr. Song enables comprehensive foot and ankle services at OrthoSouth, from podiatric to orthopedic

OrthoSouth is proud to announce the expansion of our foot and ankle capabilities as we welcome Dr. Seung-Jae “Tex” Song and his podiatric focus to our team of specialists. The addition of Dr. Song broadens the catalogue of foot and ankle related injuries/conditions that can be addressed with a visit to OrthoSouth. For instance, whereas orthopedic foot specialists do not typically treat foot complications from diabetes, podiatrists regularly treat these issues, and more. Now, nearly any condition of the foot or ankle may be seen and treated at OrthoSouth.

Dr. Song received his Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and Biochemistry at Ole Miss, and received his Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine at Dr. William M. Scholl College in North Chicago. Dr. Song completed a three-year podiatric surgical residency training at the Atlanta Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center in Decatur, Georgia. He is passionate about treating sports related injuries, treating and preventing diabetic wounds, and believes that educating patients is fundamental to maintaining healthy feet.

Dr. Song will primarily practice at the OrthoSouth clinic in Memphis at 6286 Briarcrest Avenue, Suite 200. He joins a stellar foot and ankle team that also includes fellowship-trained foot and ankle orthopedic subspecialists Dr. Trey Hester and Dr. Tyler Fraser, along with nurse practitioner Holly Loveland, NP. Appointments can be made with Dr. Song by visiting orthosouth.org or calling 901.641.3000.
