Campbell Clinic, a national and international leader in orthopaedics and musculoskeletal care, recently launched a new monthly podcast: The Now and Future of Orthopaedics. The podcast is hosted by professional business interviewer, Sam Coates.

“I am particularly excited about doing these interviews because they cover a side of sports medicine that not many get to see, the actual business of orthopaedics including surgeons and a team that focus solely on what’s best for their patients and the entire field of orthopaedics,” says Coates. “One of the few large orthopaedic groups in the nation, Campbell Clinic physicians have a direct impact on the practice’s innovation, growth, and patient experience.”

The first episode features Campbell Clinic Chief of Staff, Dr. Frederick Azar sharing his insights on Campbell Clinic’s history, its patient-first focus, and the recent expansions that have grown the practice to nine locations throughout the Mid-South region.

The second episode features insights from second-generation orthopaedic surgeon, Dr. David Richardson, whose father also practiced at Campbell Clinic. In his interview, Richardson talks about how he decided to follow in his father’s footsteps to specialize in foot and ankle surgery and why this specialty is so important to overall orthopaedic care.

Throughout the podcast, common themes include Campbell Clinic’s focus on research, innovation, education, partnerships, service, expansion and, above all, putting patients first. Plus, listeners can expect to hear moving patient stories that illustrate the healing that comes as a result of access to superior orthopaedic care.

“Our hope is that this podcast will bring awareness and understanding to the public about the field of orthopaedics which is increasingly critical to our wellness, longevity and quality of life,” says Dr. Azar. “It’s a privilege to practice orthopaedic surgery – and it’s a high honor to do so at such a historical practice that has defined the industry and continues to take it to new heights.”

A new episode will be released each month and all episodes may be found on Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music, or wherever listeners get their podcasts.
