Defining and Refining Spaces

Carrie Higgins knows there is a growing need for The Space Defined. She and her team offer a professional organizing company designed “to serve clients in a personal way, by helping them find joy and rest in their own spaces, while respecting their history and memories.” In business for only two short years, Higgins’ staff has grown from two (including herself) to nine.

Higgins learned about “seasons of change” as a Navy Labor and Delivery Nurse, always being there to help families navigate some of the most significant days of their lives. With that experience and subsequent changes in her own life (the birth of her first child and a series of moves due to her husband’s job requirements) she began to understand how easy it Is to become overwhelmed during such periods in life.

“We want to help simplify lives,” she states succinctly. The Space Defined is organized into three major areas: Organizing, with assistance offered in decluttering, organizing spaces with professional design assistance and maintaining the space with short mini-sessions; Designing – working with clients as they plan storage and closet space either in new build construction or renovations, and finally, Moving – helping with moving prep and home staging, coordinating the move, and by unpacking and organizing.
