Collierville Chamber of Commerce to Launch “Experience Collierville” Mobile App

Technology to help consumers share “Love on a Local Level”

The Collierville Chamber of Commerce is getting ready to officially launch “Experience Collierville”, an innovative interactive mobile app that will connect area consumers to Collierville Chamber member businesses with the touch of a finger.

“The COVID-19 pandemic continues to stifle local economic growth, and as businesses adhere to capacity limitations and social distancing protocols, we wanted to provide an added value to all Chamber members by making it easier for customers to connect directly with them,” says Mark Heuberger, president and CEO, Collierville Chamber of Commerce. “We began working on a project several months ago, and that work has culminated into a downloadable app for smartphones and tablets.”

The app’s main screen has a menu of business categories that include: Shop, Dine, Services and Wellness. When a user touches a category, the app brings up an alphabetized library of business sub-listings related to that specific category. “It’s a quick and efficient way to quickly drill down a search to the business you need,” adds Heuberger. “Our goal is to encourage area consumers to shop local and support Collierville businesses who support the Chamber.”

Jimmy Turner, owner of Christian Brothers Automotive, understands the value the Chamber brings to its members. “When I joined the Chamber in 2014, my objective was to increase our business visibility within the community and hopefully strengthen our customer base at the same time. Six years later, it’s done that and much more,” says Turner. “We frequently receive requests for references to other businesses related to ours such as body shops and auto part suppliers. This new app will allow us to access that information much quicker. I would encourage all Chamber member business owners to spend some time to familiarize themselves with the app. It’s going to be a very useful business tool for us and a great resource for consumers in our area who understand the importance of shopping and supporting local businesses.”

The “Experience Collierville” app is free and can be downloaded from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). “I hope our members take the time to download it, acquaint themselves with its various options and capitalize on the value it can bring to their business as it helps all consumers in Collierville and the surrounding communities spread love on a local level,” concludes Heuberger.
