Collierville Chamber of Commerce and SCORE to offer educational lunch-and-learn series in 2020

The Collierville Chamber of Commerce and the Memphis Chapter of SCORE have created a unique relationship to provide expanded educational programs for new business owners and entrepreneurs in the Collierville community. An exciting new series of lunch-and-learn events will begin in 2020.

This new venture represents a rare opportunity for community businesses to benefit from the experience and proven expertise of the experienced professionals represented by SCORE.

SCORE is a nonprofit arm of the Small Business Administration, comprising of more than 275 chapters nationally with more than 10,000 volunteers. SCORE’s mission is to foster a vibrant small business community through mentoring and education. Members of SCORE are volunteers, and the organization never charges for mentoring services nor for their workshops geared to help people learn about specific business topics.

The SCORE lunch-and-learn series represents one more exciting opportunity for Chamber members and others to broaden their education and to expand their networking opportunities. Other programs offered by the Collierville Chamber of Commerce include ASCEND, Party-on-the-Patio, Women’s Leadership Network and periodic luncheons and award ceremonies.

“We are excited about incorporating the SCORE curriculum and expertise into our benefits package for our members.” said Mark Heuberger, President of the Collierville Chamber of Commerce. “This is a tangible free benefit that I hope members will take full advantage of. The mentoring aspect that SCORE offers is something I think is of great value, especially to small businesses that are in their first or second year of getting established.”
