A Guide to #GivingTuesday in Collierville
Thanksgiving may be over, but it is never too late to practice gratitude, especially during 2020. The Collierville Chamber of Commerce will celebrate #GivingTuesday on December 1, 2020 in honor of the nonprofits and individuals who work hard to serve our community.
Because of these difference-makers, we can rest easier during a global pandemic, knowing they are ready to lend a hand, feed the hungry and even pass out WiFi hotspots to students in need. Today, we say thank you.
GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past 8 years, this idea has grown into a year-round global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity. The campaign raised over $1.9 million in donations in 2019 alone.
Monetary donations go a long way, though that’s not the only way you can give. Volunteers are always needed too.
